The 130 years old Custozza Park was an affectional impression of the inhabitants of Vauban. From the park survived today two remarkable monuments: the Custozza monument, inaugurated in 1906 in memory of the soldiers of the 50th Infantry Regiment in Alba Iulia, fallen in the Battle of Custozza during the Austro-Italian War of 1866, and the Lossenau Monument, raised in 1853 in the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Ludwig von Losenau, an officer in the Habsburg army, fallen into the fight against the Hungarian Revolutionary Army led by Polish General Jozef Bem during the Revolution of 1848-1849 in Transylvania.
