The original text of the recipe: “In a quarter kilogram of currant syrup, we put 3 quarters of a kg of water, and 3 lemon juice, 4-5 tablespoons of crushed sugar, all well chewed and squeezed through a servet, then put in the box of ice cream. ”
source: Good housekeeper or cookbook, Ecaterina Comsa, 1929
250 ml of currant syrup
750 ml of water
3 pieces of lemon
4-5 tablespoons of powdered sugar
Squeeze the juice from 3 lemons
Mix the currant syrup with water, lemon juice and sugar
Stretch the composition through a strainer
Put in boxes in the freezer
It is consumed the next day (when it’s ice cream)
A very refreshing ice cream, to everyone’s taste. Very simple to prepare.
My recommendation: 5 out of 5 stars.
